Environmental Responsibility
Our company embraces an environmentally-conscious "green" philosophy. Greentech Creative is committed to fostering the commercial development and rapid adoption of clean energy technologies, in addition to efforts to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We've taken steps to reduce our impact through online document storage, reduced printing, energy-efficient lighting, green computing practices, the use of recycled and recyclable office supplies and a companywide recycling program. We encourage companies of all sizes to consider their responsibility to the planet and to take steps to mitigate negative impact to the environment and atmosphere.
Top ways you can help make the world better RIGHT NOW:
- Change your light bulbs to compact florescent, low voltage and/or high-efficiency LED (this will also save a LOT on your electric bills)
- Buy more efficient vehicles made in your own country. Consider hybrids and other new technologies for future purchases
- Use automobiles more efficiently by carpooling / ride sharing, cutting down on unnecessary trips & using 'smart' routes
- RECYCLE! It's a whole lot easier than you probably think …
- Install a solar hot water heater- or a high efficiency on-demand (or 'flash') hot water heater in your home
- Use your own bags at the grocery store to avoid islands of floating trash in the ocean
- Support green web hosting
- Quit buying bottled water. Use a water filter + one bottle to refill. *You may not want to be drinking 'reverse-osmosis' purified H2O anyway!
- Unplug unused devices - or use a high efficiency electric device for your circuit panel which effectively does the same thing automatically
- Start generating electricity with wind or solar - even if only 1-2 KW to augment your electricity and help offset tons of carbon emissions
- Green battery technology! Lithium has a harsh-sounding name but is actually recyclable and quite "eco-friendly"
- Travel less - teleconference and video conference more
- Insulate around single pane windows + install plastic sheets inside drafty home windows - or use external storm windows to create a thermal block
- Insulate your attic with R-30 (or better) rated insulation materials (be careful with old material and be sure it doesn't contain asbestos!)
- Fill or close all air gaps around your doors and windows
- Support your domestic economy
