About: Web Standards
Our web development team has made every effort to design the GreentechCreative.com website consistent with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) recommendations and other relevant Web standards. Designing for standards compliance has many benefits, including accessibility for the visually-impaired and uniform display across multiple computing platforms.
Valid XHTML Markup
The GreentechCreative.com website uses valid XHTML coding to deliver a solid, stable user experience. Special attention has also been paid to making the XHTML code semantically correct in order to create a more accessible site, and for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes. Use the W3C link above to validate this web page. You can also check the validity of the code on any page of our website using the tiny badges located at the bottom right corner of your browser window.
Valid CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
GreentechCreative.com uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control the visual look & feel of the site. Using CSS reduces the size of website files (page weight) so pages load quickly. Every effort has been made to separate website content from website design. The W3C link above will validate the CSS on this page. Each page on our website also has a CSS validator link located in the bottom right corner.
In addition, this website uses a "Tableless" layout design.
P3P-compliant Privacy Policy
The W3C established the Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) to enable websites to express their privacy practices in a standard format that can be automatically accessed and analyzed by computer browser software. The goal is delivering a comprehensive privacy policy that can be interpreted by human readers as well as "machine readers" (i.e. computer programs). Greentech Creative has a privacy policy that is meant to disclose the types of information collected when visiting the GreentechCreative.com website. Special efforts have been made to ensure our privacy policy and privacy practices conform with P3P recommendations. Until recently, the W3C provided a validation tool to check for P3P conformance; unfortunately this service is no longer working correctly.
Section 508 Compliance
In 1998, the United States Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require federal agencies to make electronic information accessible to persons with disabilities. While Section 508 (29 U.S.C. ' 794d) regulations do not apply to private sector websites, the Federal Accessibility Initiative (FAI) has provided a framework for designing websites that can be universally accessible to everyone.
Greentech Creative embraces universal website accessibility and has designed the GreentechCreative.com website in accordance with Section 508 guidelines.
AAA Accessibility Compliance
The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) has developed a number of guidelines to improve the universal accessibility of websites, web content and web-based software applications. GreentechCreative.com has been developed with accessibility and AAA-compliance in mind because, as the W3C points out on their site, “Case studies show that accessible websites have better search results, reduced maintenance costs, and increased audience reach, among other benefits.” To validate this page complies with AAA accessibility standards, please use the form below.
